Essential Guide: How to Choose the Perfect Replacement Hoop for Your Barudan Embroidery Machine

Replacing a hoop for your Barudan machine sounds fiddly, but it really comes down to two measurements and a quick look at the clip. Get those right and your new hoop drops in and runs just like the original. Here’s how to find the perfect fit. 🧵

1. Measure your existing hoop

Grab one of your current hoops and a measuring tape:

  • Measure the total length from outer edge to outer edge.
  • Compare it to our two standard sizes: 38 cm and 51 cm hoops.
PRO TIP
the measurement doesn’t have to be exact — it just needs to land close to one of those sizes. If yours is way off, re-measure before you order.

2. Check the shape of the metal clip

Barudan hoops attach with a specific clip style, and that clip is what actually determines fit. Look closely at the metal clip on your current hoop and match its shape to the replacement. If the clip matches, you’re good to go.

Why compatibility matters

An ill-fitting hoop doesn’t just sit loose — it can cause misalignment, skipped stitches, puckering, and registration problems that ruin a run. Matching both the size and the clip style means clean, consistent stitch-outs and no surprises mid-job.
